Starting a Server

To enable the connection of an OPC UA client, you can work with Systems Experience Player, which acts as an OPC UA server.

Important: OPC UA parameters must be defined at experience level. This functionality is available only when you have the role Virtual Systems Experience Designer (SEV).

Before you begin: Execute a system experience. For more information, see Executing a System Experience.

About OPC UA and OPC UA Information Panel
  1. From the Standard area of the action bar, click OPC UA Information Panel .
  2. In the OPC UA Information Panel, enter a port value in the OPC UA Server Port field.
  3. Click Start OPC UA server to start the server.

    Note: You can stop a server by clicking Stop OPC UA server .

    Lines containing the information on the starting of the server are added to the message list in the dialog box.
