Selecting Steps and Frames

You can select individual steps and frames to analyze regions of interest throughout the simulation. Time or frequency animation positions are displayed in the legend step/frame selector.

The animation frames might be computed differently, depending on which release of 3DEXPERIENCE platform the simulations were created in:

  • For the R2016x release and later, only computed frames are visible in the step/frame box.
  • For the R2015x release and earlier, both computed frames and interpolated frames are visible in the step/frame selector.
Note: You cannot edit the step and frame selector while the animation player is open.

  1. From the legend, click the selector to view the available steps and frames.

Physics Simulation Review might explicitly name the animation frames or name them generically (by frame number), depending on the information provided at the time of the simulation.

  2. Select the required step or frame.

The model updates to reflect the step or frame you have selected.
