Showing or Hiding Streamlines

You can show or hide streamlines in the display of the model.

Streamlines allow you to visualize the velocity data from particular locations in a vector field. They can be plot-specific or shared. Plot-specific streamlines receive their texture and contours from the specific plot that is active at the time of streamline creation. Shared streamlines are not tied to any plot, are usually color coded with a uniform color, and can be displayed in all views on top of both results and non-results plots.

The streamline selector lists both plot-specific and shared streamlines without distinguishing between them, except for the default visibility status. When you activate a plot, only plot-specific streamlines are visible initially. You can display shared streamlines over the mesh, material, scenario, or results plots. To avoid color conflicts, Physics Simulation Review renders shared streamlines displayed over materials in white.

Before you begin: Streamlines must be saved in experience content in the authoring app.
  1. From the action bar, click Choose Content .
    The simulation content appears.
  2. Select a content type.
  3. From the action bar, click Hide/Show .
The streamline selector appears on the right side of the work area and lists all the streamlines in your model.
  4. From the streamline selector, click Hide/Show or click the streamline name to hide the streamline from view. Click Hide/Show or the streamline name again to show the streamline.
