Creating Insulation

You can create an insulation part reference.


Before you begin: The Data Setup must contain the tables that provide the list of values available for each attribute.
  1. In the Top Bar, select Add > Content.
    The New Content dialog box appears.
  2. Scroll down the list of types and expand Fluidic Insulation Physical .
    A list appears showing the types of components you can create.

  3. In the list, select Piping Insulation.
    The insulation part reference is created.
  4. In the Data Information panel, edit the attributes under the Applicative Information section to assign values.
  5. Optional: Apply a material to the insulation.

  6. Optional: Create the geometry of the insulation part.
  7. Optional: Create ports.
    For more information, see Product Structure Design User's Guide: Creating a Publication.
  8. Save the part and store it in a catalog or in the library.

Note: This part can also be used as template during the creation of a components family.
