Creating Equipment

You can create an item of equipment by assigning the equipment type to an existing part.

Before you begin: Open an object containing a part.
  1. From the Fluid Design section of the action bar, click Equipment .
    The Equipment Extension dialog box appears.
  2. In the Part Subtype box, select the equipment type.
  3. Click OK.
    The object has been assigned with the equipment type.
  4. Add a port to the part.
    For more information about ports, see Creating Ports.

    A Port node is created under a Publications node in the tree.

    Important: You can create only one port for an insulation part.
  5. Optional: Open the Properties dialog box to view or modify attributes.
