An end style is a route attribute that determines the auto parts
that can be placed on it. You may need to modify the end style of a route to make it
compatible with the connecting parts.
In Data Setup, under Piping Discipline
Resources and Piping Design Resources,
End Style and Pipe Fabrication End
Style list all possible end styles for a pipe/tube. The End
Style command displays the content of the Pipe Fabrication
End Style table and allows you to select an end style.
This table is associated with a standard. Based on the
standard defined on the pipe/tube, the Pipe Fabrication End
Style table displays the end styles. If you try to modify the end style
of a pipe/tube on which no standard is defined, the End Style command is unable to
locate the Pipe Fabrication End Style table and an error message
appears.
The Pipe Fabrication End Style
table is filtered on the basis of Material, if it is defined on
the pipe/tube.
Before you begin: Open an object containing the route for which you want to modify the
end style.
From the Fluid Design section of the action bar, select Part Mode
as
process mode.
From the Selection Options dialog box, select
Part Selection
.
Note:
If the end style is Unset, you can assign it using
Edit.
The Choose End Style dialog box appears and displays a
list of end styles that can be assigned to the route.
Select an end style and click
OK.
The end style is modified for the selected route and appears in the
Data dialog box. You can copy the end style from
one end point to the active one using Copy End Style From Other
End
. You can also copy the end style of the active end point to an other end
point using Copy End Style To Other End .
