Isolating Spool for Multi-Instantiation

You can isolate spools to multi-instantiate them.

Multi-instantiation of a spool is possible when there are no engineering connections or contextual design links going outside this spool. The Isolate spool for multi instantiation command allows you to remove these links.

Before you begin: Open an object containing several spools with MCX, engineering connections and contextual design links.
  1. From the Fluid Design section of the action bar, select Spool Mode as process mode.
  2. From the Selection Options dialog box, select Part Selection .
For more information about the different selection options, see Selection Options and Process Modes.
  3. In the tree, select the spool you want to isolate.
    The context toolbar appears.
Tip: You can also select the spool from the work area.
  4. In the context toolbar, click Isolate spool for multi instantiation .
Note: You can also remove MCX links from the Spools Impacted dialog box.

Engineering connection or contextual design links going outside this spool are removed.
