Collaborative Spaces Bindings

The administrator can see under each collaborative space node the list of already bound resource sets. When they click a Collaborative Space node, the resource set ID items with no table bound to this collaborative space are displayed in the Resource Tables tab with a specific icon mask (see table below). The administrator can then see quickly which resource set IDs need to be bound to the current selected collaborative space and which ones are already set.

Resource Tables Tab

  • Setup resource area: Contains all the resources sets, grouped by resource set ID. Each resource set ID can contain several resource sets. Each resource set only contains one resource table.
  • The Version column provides you with information about the version number of the corresponding resource set.
  • The Description column provides you with a description of the resource set ID.
  • Icons and Contextual menus: Each resource set item or resource table item appearing in the Data Setup resource area has its own associated icon and context menu.

Application Resource Table Editor

To access this editor:

  1. Right-click a resource set and select Create a New Resource Table.
  2. Click Finish in the Resource Set dialog box. The Data Setup/Resource Table editor opens.

To edit an attribute, double-click the corresponding cell:

  • Choose the assigned resource: Enables you to launch the Chooser and to query the database to assign a resource.
  • Edit the assigned resource: Enables you to edit the resource. When selecting this command, the editor associated with the type of document is launched. Once the resource is modified, it appears in the resource preview field. This command can be used with any kind of resources handled by the Resource Table.
  • Unset the assigned resource: Enables you to detach the selected resource from the Resource set.
  • Add a new resource item: Enables you to add a new row to a table and therefore to add a new resource.
  • Remove the selected resource item: Enables you to delete the selected resource.
  • Group resources by type: Enables you to group resources by type.

Note: The Data Setup structure depends on the resource table to which it is allocated.

This editor displays a multi-list view. Each line corresponds to a resource item, its attributes can be edited in the following columns:

  • Logical Name: Name of the resource stored in the database.
  • Resource Type: Type of the resource assigned to the Logical Name (Power Copy, User Feature, Engineering Template, ...).
  • Resource: Enables you to query the database to associate a physical resource with the Logical Name.
  • Criteria: Attribute used to identify and differentiate multiple sub items (between different standards, different specifications, ...).
  • Description: Enables you to key in a description of the resource.
