Diagram Resources: Available Resources

A resource is a PLM object (for example, a catalog or a business rule) or another type of file (for example, a bitmap or a spreadsheet). In Data Setup, resources are grouped in resource sets. A resource set is a PLM object that implements a single resource table. This topic lists available resources in Diagram Resources.

This page discusses:

Sheet Resources

The following resources require a sheet to be assigned to them.

Note: The definition of this resource is mandatory.

Logical Name Criteria Description
Zone Names Zone Category: Enter the name of the schematic zone category. Defines the schematic zone categories and, for each category, a list of possible schematic zone names and their associated descriptions if needed.
Reading Direction: Select the reading direction for the category.

Business Rules

The following resources require a business rule to be assigned to them.

Note: The definition of these resources is not mandatory.

Logical Name Criteria Description
SchematicCallback_SymbolOrRouteModified FactType Retrieves the name of a symbol representation of a logical component and add as an attribute in the component properties.
Rule for Alternative Representation Name FactType Defines the name of the alternative representation to be activated for a given object.
Rule for Instantiate/Duplicate Option FactType Defines the objects, which can be duplicated or instantiated through the Manipulate Symbols command.
Rule for Automatic Space Allocation FactType Defines the name of the space references to query.
Rule to define a Stamp Symbol(Schematic_ComputeStampingPlacement) FactType Defines and places a stamp symbol in a diagram view.
Rule to Manage Instance Attributes Copy FactType Defines the instance attributes to be copied or not on the newly created instance when using the Network Manipulation command.
Schematic_GetCompositeName FactType Lets you display a containee under its container parent in the app tree.
Rule to Get Label Symbol FactType Provides information about the label to be applied on the symbols or routes based on the main and called representations.
Rule to Get Logical System of a Logical Object FactType Provides the system of a logical object.
Rule to Get Representation Mode of a Symbol FactType Lets you decide whether the symbol or the route placed in view for a logical object is the main or called representation.
Rule to Get Symbol and Graphic Attributes FactType Provides information about the symbol to be used during the placement.
Rule to Insert an Existing View FactType Defines the existing diagram views, which can be reinstantiated.
Rule to Manage Symbol Automatic Placement FactType Lets you decide whether a symbol must be placed automatically or manually and choose the position, rotation, and flip of the symbol during automatic placement.
Note: If the business rule entry is not set or if the execution of business rule fails, the symbol is placed according to the existing behavior.
Rule to Manage Containee Attributes During its Association to a Composite FactType Lets you define containee attributes according to composite attributes.
Rule to Manage Containee Attributes During its Association to a Composite Container FactType Lets you define containee attributes according to composite container attributes.
Rule to Manage Containee Attributes During its Association to a Geographical Composite FactType Lets you define containee attributes according to geographical container attributes.
Rule to Manage Containee Attributes During its Dissolution from a Container FactType Lets you remove the attributes from a containee symbol.
Rule to Compute Options for Component Groups FactType Lets you instantiate, duplicate, or replace the objects from a group of components.
Rule to Get Replace Information in Component Groups FactType Lets you manage replace information during component group replacement.
Rule to choose a sheet group during diagram generation FactType Lets you group all nets that have the same sheet group ID into the same sheet.

Logical Reference Resources

The following resources require a logical resource to be assigned to them.

Note: The definition of these resources is mandatory.

Logical Name Criteria Description
Default Label SymbolType: Enter the type of component to be associated with the defined label. Defines a list of labels for each type and subtype.
SubType Filter: Enter a subtype attribute to be associated with the type of symbol.
Off Sheet Symbol for Different Sheets Context Routable Type: Define the type of route line associated to your sheet connector representation. Defines an off-sheet symbol in the context of different sheets.
Routable Subtype Attribute: Enter the subtype attribute of the route line associated to your sheet connector representation.
Default: If there are multiple entries for off-sheet connectors for one set of filtering criteria, the Default value must be set to YES for exactly one entry.
Flow Direction: Associate a flow direction to the sheet connector symbol.
Note: This criterion is not taken into account when working with nets.
On Sheet Symbol for Same Sheet Context Routable Type: Define the type of the route line associated to your sheet connector representation. Defines an on-sheet symbol in the context of the same sheet.
Routable Subtype Attribute: Enter the subtype attribute of the route line associated to your sheet connector representation.
Default: If there are multiple entries for on-sheet connectors for one set of filtering criteria, the Default value must be set to YES for exactly one entry.
Flow Direction: Associate a flow direction to the sheet connector symbol.
Note: This criterion is not taken into account when working with nets.
Frame and Title Block Symbol Sheet Format : Enter the format of the sheet containing the frame symbol (A0 ISO, A1 ISO, A2 ISO...). Defines a default frame symbol.
Sheet Orientation: Choose the orientation of the sheet containing the frame symbol.
Titleblock for Print Sheet Format: Enter the format of the sheet containing the frame symbol (A0 ISO, A1 ISO, A2 ISO...). Defines a frame symbol used when printing the given area of a diagram view.
Sheet Orientation: Choose the orientation of the sheet containing the frame symbol.
