From the Simulate section of the action bar, click Simulate Options
. You can also open this dialog box from within the
						Simulate dialog box.
Ask your system administrator whether you should choose a
			 Detached controller host or a
Compute host to run your simulation.

		  | Option | Description |
|---|
 | Detached controller host | This type of computer must have the 3DEXPERIENCE platform native physics simulation apps installed. These apps include Mechanical Scenario Creation, Structural Validation, and Functional Generative Design. The native apps installation includes an embedded (private) 3DOrchestrate Station. By default, the station name is the same as the hostname of the
computer. The 3DEXPERIENCE platform batch controller will be automatically executed on this computer. |
|---|
 | Compute host | This type of computer must have both a 3DOrchestrate Station and the simulation compute services (containing the
								Abaqus® solvers) installed. |
|---|
These hosts are computers on your network that serve as 3DOrchestrate Stations and have different combinations of simulation software installed. Your system
administrators decide which type of host stations to set up for you. See the
3DOrchestrate Administration Guide for complete information about
						configuring 3DOrchestrate Stations and LSF.
For either a detached controller host or a compute host, specify
			 the
			 Resource manager:

		  | Resource Manager
				  Option | Description |
|---|
 | Built-in | Use the default (Fiper) mode for distributed resource
				  management (DRM) in
				  3DOrchestrate. |
|---|
 | LSF | Execute
simulations through Platform LSF (Load Sharing Facility) and
				  3DOrchestrate. |
|---|
 | Other
resources | If your company has a
different, customized DRM system, such as a custom LSF network of hosts that
				  serve as
				  3DOrchestrate Stations,
those custom options might be available for selection as well.
Ask your system administrator what custom
LSF options you should choose in this dialog box. |
|---|

		   If you choose
Built-in as the network resource manager, you
can specify where your simulation is executed:

		  | Option | Description |
|---|
 | Number of cores | Number of processor cores to use to compute the
				  simulation. |
|---|
 | LSF queue | Name of a specific LSF queue. |
|---|
 | Host group | Name of a specific LSF group of host computers. |
|---|
 | LSF options | Additional LSF arguments. |
|---|

		   If you choose
LSF as the network resource manager, you can
configure your execution job using the following options:

		  | Option | Description |
|---|
 | Number of cores | Number of processor cores to use to compute the
				  simulation. |
|---|
 | LSF queue | Name of a specific LSF queue. |
|---|
 | Host group | Name of a specific LSF group of host computers. |
|---|
 | LSF options | Additional LSF arguments. |
|---|

If your simulation will run on a remote
			 3DOrchestrate Station
that is configured for Run-As security, enter
			 User Credentials (Extended Credentials).

These are login credentials (username and password) that correspond to a user account on
the station computer OS. Ask your system administrator about this option. For
Windows credentials, you might need to enter the Windows network domain.
		  Click
			 OK.
