You must apply materials to all components in your model before performing a simulation. If materials are already applied to your model, you do not need to reapply the materials in the simulation. The materials you apply to your part must be core materials with appropriate Simulation domains. By default, the Material Palette displays core materials that have a Simulation domain (see Interface for information about customizing the content of the Material Palette). If you apply a material that does not include a Simulation domain or a material that does not include a required behavior (such as a material used in a thermal simulation that does not contain isotropic conductivity), you cannot perform a simulation. You can change the applied materials using the Material Palette. |
