click
Simulate
.
-
From the
Location options, select one of the
following:
Option | Description |
---|
Local
interactive |
The simulation runs on your computer (that is, the local host). The simulation is
monitored actively in the foreground of your session. While it is
running, you cannot perform any other actions in your session. Local
interactive execution is useful for simulations that are expected to
complete quickly. |
---|
Local
noninteractive | The simulation runs in a background process on your computer. Before starting a local
noninteractive execution, you must save the simulation. While the
simulation is running, you can continue working in your current
session. Local noninteractive execution is useful for larger models
or simulations that take a long time to complete. |

For more information about each of these methods, see
About Simulation Configuration.
-
From the
Performance options, specify the number of
cores that should be dedicated to this simulation job. Plastic injection
simulations can use up to four cores.
-
Click
OK.
The simulation job runs according to your specifications. If you
selected
Local interactive, you can monitor the
simulation in progress in the
Simulation Status dialog box that appears.
