Placing a Piping Component Using the Insert Existing Reference Command

You can place an existing piping component in the piping network.

Using this function, you can take advantage from the Library Browser to quickly search and instantiate general components classified in general libraries and classes.


Before you begin: In the tree, insert a new reference under the Logical node.
  1. From the Edition section of the action bar, click Create From Existing Reference .
  2. Select the logical piping system in the tree or in the 2D graph.
  3. In the Select an Existing Logical Component dialog box, select the component to be placed.

    You can search the saved components using the options available in the From Search tab.

    To place the components already loaded in a session, you can use the options available in the From Session tab.

  4. Click OK to place the component.

The logical component appears in the 2D graph and tree.
