Project Panel

The Project panel includes a tree that displays the structure of an experience. You can use this panel to view and organize your experience.

From the Perception Experience section of the action bar, click Project Panel to open the panel.

Icon Element Description
Experience node (root node) Includes 3D, environments, and materials.
Cameras node Lets you go to the camera (that is, switch to the viewpoint defined by the camera, while applying the camera parameters (as specified in Live Rendering) to the viewer).
3D node Lets you view and manage 3D actors such as products, humans, kinematics animations, physics simulations, manufacturing simulations, 3D HTML displays. You can rename and select objects, act on their visibility, expose and pick materials, select all objects with the same material, etc.
Note: To work with humans, you must have the appropriate role.
Environments node Lets you view and manage ambience environments (insert existing environments, activate or deactivate them, edit environments in context...).
Materials node Lets you view and manage materials (insert, create, pick, and apply, select all objects with the same material...).

Lets you manage material vectors (create a material variant line, rename, edit properties, collapse, and expand the material vector node...).

Note: When you create a material variant line from a material vector, all the materials contained in the vector are taken into account. Also, all the actors to which the material vector is applied are taken into account.

Before clicking Create Material Variant Line, don't forget to expose one of the materials from the vector.

The material variant line is created in the Material Vectors panel.

Product Tables node Lets you access the product tables found in a physical product, and quickly create stages and product variant lines from these product tables. You can rename and delete these product tables, as well as view their properties.

Right-click elements in the tree to access a context menu offering specific options.
