Ambience Environment Properties

Ambience environments can be described as a 360-degree HDR environment surrounding the experience. Ambience environment properties are managed through the Properties panel. You can view and modify them.

Use the menu to activate or deactivate the environment, edit it in context, or delete it. Activating the environment makes it visible.

General

Name Defines the name of the ambience.
Description Describes the ambience.
Asset Displays the name of the environmental asset.

Click […] to open and edit the environment in the Ambience Studio app. When done, click Exit App in the Standard section of the action bar to go back to Product Perception Experience.

Important: The changes you perform affect all Physical Products and Realtime Experiences that use the same ambience.

Activation Activates the environment.
Note: Checking this box is equivalent to selecting Activate environment in the menu .

Lighting

Dome Radius Lets you resize the dome radius. It is useful for large models to fit the background image.
Dome Origin Defines the origin of the ambience in the parent coordinate system (X, Y, Z).
Dome Rotation Defines the rotation of the ambience in the parent coordinate system (X, Y, Z).
Dome Exposure Defines the exposure value (EV), which impacts the scene's luminance. Use the slider or the box to specify the value.

Ground

Ground Offset Offsets the ground up or down, relatively to the origin of the scene.
Ground Scale Ratio Fits the ground to the dome and the object.
Ground Reflectivity Adapts the reflectivity from the ground on the object.
Ground Glossiness Adapts the glossiness of the ground.
Note: Glossiness is activated when the Reflectivity value is different from zero.
