Simulation Actor Properties

Simulation actors properties are managed through the Properties panel. You can view and modify them.

This page discusses:

General

Name Defines the name of the simulation actor.
Description Describes the simulation actor.
Asset Displays the name of the asset.

Click […] to open the simulation actor in the last app used for this type of object.

Selectable Defines whether or not the simulation actor can be selected.
Note: This property is available in presentation mode only.

Rendering

Visible Defines whether or not the simulation actor is visible.
Material rendering Renders with material shading.
Note: This property is stored in, and rendered by, a simulation variant.

Transformation (in world coordinate system)

Position Defines the position of the simulation actor in the parent coordinate system (X, Y, Z).
Note: Values are in mm.
Rotation Defines the rotation of the simulation actor in the parent coordinate system (X, Y, Z).
Note: Values are in degrees.
Scale Defines the uniform scale factor of the simulation actor.

Pivot Axis

Position Defines the position of the simulation actor's pivot axis in the parent coordinate system (X, Y, Z).
Rotation Defines the rotation of the simulation actor's pivot axis in the parent coordinate system (X, Y, Z).
Note: Values are in degrees.

Trigger

Variant/variant line name Specifies the variant line triggered by this simulation actor at Play time. Click […] to open the Set Trigger panel listing the objects and hotkeys defined as triggers.
