Playing the Experience in VR Mode

Once you have created the different variants of a product and configured the presentation mode for Play, you can play the experience in the Virtual Reality (VR) mode. Using an HMD (Head-Mounted Display) device, you can review the different variants of a product in an immersive manner, for discussion and decision-making purposes.

  1. To start a VR session with the Product Perception Experience VR skillset, from the Presentation or AR-VR section of the action bar, click Perception Experience VR .
  2. Put on the headset and grab the controllers.
  3. To switch between the Navigation and Variant Exploration skillsets, press the menu button on the controller in the dominant hand.

Start with the Navigation skillset (it is active by default).

  4. To select a navigation mode, use the controller in the nondominant hand. To navigate the scene, use the controller in the dominant hand.
  5. To explore variants, first select the Variant Exploration skillset by pressing the menu button on the controller in the dominant hand.
  6. To capture viewpoints and stage variants , press and hold the corresponding command on the controller in your nondominant hand for at least 2 seconds. The controller provides tactile feedback to confirm the capture.
After you leave the presentation mode, viewpoints and stage variants are available in the Presentation sessions panel. You can keep this panel as is, or if you prefer, you can drag variant thumbnails to other lines or panels. You can also drag entire variant lines to other panels.

  7. In the action bar, click Perception Experience VR again to end the VR session.
