Editing Ambience Environments

You can edit the properties of an ambience environment. You can also directly edit an ambience asset in Ambience Studio through Product Perception Experience.

Edit Ambience Environment Properties

You can edit the settings of an ambience environment, like the dome radius or ground offset, from the Properties panel.

  1. In the Perception Experience section of the action bar, click Manage Ambience .
  2. In the Properties panel, modify the properties as required. For more information, see Ambience Environment Properties.

Tip: You can also access the Properties panel from the Environments node available in the Project tree. Do either of the following:
  • Right-click an ambience environment, and select Properties.
  • Select an ambience environment. Then, in the Perception Experience section of the action bar, click Properties Panel .

Edit Ambience Environments in Ambience Studio

You can access Ambience Studio from Product Perception Experience to edit the source definition of ambience environments, and change its core parameters like HDR lights or the background image. The changes are then visible from all physical products or experiences where the same ambience has been inserted.

Before you begin: Insert an ambience in Product Perception Experience.
  1. To edit an ambience in Ambience Studio, do one of the following in Product Perception Experience:
    • In the tree available in the Project panel, right-click an ambience environment and select Edit in context.
    • In the Properties panel of the ambience, click Display Context Menu and select Edit in context.
    • In the Properties panel of the ambience, next to the Asset box, click […], and select Open in new app.

    Note: Using Edit in context, you can edit the source ambience asset, in context of your 3D scene.

  2. In Ambience Studio, edit the ambience.

  3. To exit the app, click Exit App from the action bar.
    You are back to Product Perception Experience.
