Creating Fallible References

You can create fallible references to be used in the Structure Tree.

  1. To access the Fallible Reference Editor, click either:
    • Manage Fallible References , from the Edit section of the action bar
    • Manage Fallible References, from the home page
    The Fallible Reference Editor appears in an immersive panel.
  2. From the Edit section of the action bar, click Manage Fallible References .

    Note: You can also click Manage Fallible References from the home page.

  3. To create a fallible reference, click Create Fallible Reference .
  4. In the Create Fallible Reference dialog box, enter a name, and click Create.
    Tips: The default name, which appears in the dialog box, is defined in the widget preferences.

    A fallible reference is created in the Fallible Reference Editor.

  5. To create a failure mode, select a fallible reference in the Fallible Reference Editor and click Create Fallible Reference .
  6. In the Create Failure Mode for xxx dialog box, enter a name, and click Create.
    A failure mode is created and appears under the created fallible reference in the Fallible Reference Editor.
    Notes:
    • Elements are not directly created in Bookmarks, Favorites, or Others nodes.
    • If the automatic save is deactivated, you must save the fallible references and failure modes before using them.

From this panel, you can also create hazardous events.
