Using the Manage Installation Inputs Panel

You can use the Manage Installation Inputs panel to define inputs for an installation.

Note: The selected installation and the installation to be added as input must be siblings and have the same first non-predecessor installation.

  1. Select a manufactured item of the installation type. From the Authoring section of the action bar, click Manage Installation Inputs .
    The Manage Installation Inputs panel displays.

  2. To assign an input or a predecessor to the selected installation on which the panel is launched, click and select the installation to link in the list that displays.
  3. To remove an input or a predecessor from the selected installation, click and select the installation in the list that displays.

Notes:
  • When working under configuration: when an input is added or removed as a predecessor from an installation using this panel, the impacted installation instance evolves. A message displays: click Yes to validate this evolution.
  • You can filter content using in the panel. A Filter section displays that lets you filter values on selected columns.
  • You can manage attributes using in the panel. An Attributes section displays that lets you hide/show columns of attributes.
  • You can manage panel preferences (status bar and messages) using Preferences in the title bar of the panel.
