Update

Use the Update options to customize the update behaviors.

This page discusses:

Automatic Update Status Computation

In the standard area of the action bar, the Update All icon indicates the update status.

Select the desired option:

  • Yes

    Automatically computes the current update status:

    • Icon disabled: up to date,
    • Icon enabled: not updated.

  • No

    The update status is not re-computed after an action and the icon is enabled to indicate an unknown update status.

    Update symbols are not displayed on the icon.

By default, No is selected.

Assembly Pattern Repair during Update

Select the desired option:

  • Automatic automatically repairs assembly patterns during update.
  • Manual displays the update report if needed, to edit and repair assembly patterns.

By default, Automatic is selected.

Important:

Manual is recommended for a configured assembly.

PLM Update Behavior in Error and Warning Messages

Display warning messages in the update report
Displays warnings during the update, in the update report.

By default, this check box is selected.

Stop update execution upon first error
Stops the PLM update upon the first error.

By default, this check box is selected.

Update Behavior during Save

Allows you to update detected out-of-date data before save
Lets you determine whether the out-of-date data you are about to save should be updated.

By default, this check box is cleared.
