Motion Trace

The Motion Trace preferences let you customize how the trace appears in your simulations.

Select the Motion Trace tab to customize how you show different aspects of the motion trace (for example, line color or thickness).

Motion Trace Options

Show Point
Provides the color and symbol for each point within a simulation trace, if Show point is checked.

By default, Show point is cleared. The initial appearance settings for points define Coloras white and Symbolas X.

Show Line
Provides the color, type of line, and line thickness for each simulation trace, if Show Line is checked.

By default, Show Line is checked. The initial appearance settings for lines define Color as white, Typeas 1, and Thickness as 1:0.13mm.

Show Axis
Provides the color, line type, and thickness for the axis of each simulation trace, if Show Axis is checked.

By default, Show Axis is cleared; the initial appearance settings for axes define Color as white, Typeas 1, and Thickness as 1:0.13mm.

Delete path when simulation starts again
You can choose to keep or create new paths when the simulation restarts.

By default, the box is checked; when the simulation restarts, this option deletes the path.

Show legends
When selected, any of the selected items below appear on the simulation.

By default, the box is checked.

Name
The name of the motion trace appears on the simulation.

By default, the box is checked; the name appears.

X, Y, Z
The X, Y, Z coordinates appear on the motion trace.

By default, the box is cleared; the coordinates do not appear.

Yaw, Pitch, and Roll
The Yaw, Pitch, and Roll values appear on the motion trace.

By default, the box is cleared; the values do not appear.

Time
The time of the motion trace appears on the simulation.

By default, the box is checked; the time appears.
