Logical To Physical

The Logical To Physical options let you customize the logical to physical synchronization for Electrical 3D Design and Electrical 3D Part Design.

Logical to Physical Synchronization

Generate branches to cavities
Creates branches to each connection point of the device depending on logical data and connection point on the electrical device.

If this option is not selected, only one branch is created for each electrical device with the first compatible connection point.

By default, this check box is selected.

Allow instance links between one logical and multiple physical electrical systems
Enables to link one logical system with several electrical physical systems to synchronize logical content in different electrical physical systems.

By default, this check box is cleared.

Map Logical Cable to Physical Conductor
Synchronizes the logical cable with its route with a physical conductor or physical conductor group.

It is only applicable if the ends of the logical cable (aggregating no logical wires) have corresponding physical devices. Therefore, after the Logical To Physical synchronization, the physical conductor is created, corresponding to the synchronized logical cable.

By default, this check box is cleared.

Search from
  • 3DEXPERIENCE

    During the synchronization, allows to search the physical references in your content saved in database.

    By default, this option is selected.

  • Catalog

    During the synchronization, allows to search the physical references in your content stored in catalogs.

    In Data Setup, the search is performed in electrical resources in the following order:

    1. Electrical Catalog Chapter, available in the Electrical Physical System Design Resources resource set.
    2. 3D Electrical components catalogs, available in the Electrical Physical System Design Resources resource set.
    3. Physical Equipment Catalog, available in the Equipment Resources resource set.
      Note: Only equipments are searched in this resource.

    If a resource is not set or if a reference is not found, a warning message appears in the Logical to Physical Synchronization Manager panel.

Logical to Physical Assistant

Synchronize logical cable with
  • Conductor Group

    Lets you synchronize the logical cables of your logical system with the conductors or conductor groups of your electrical physical systems.

    When you select this option, only Wire is available in Types to analyze when you start the Logical to Physical Assistant.

    By default, this option is selected.

  • Cable

    Lets you synchronize the logical cables of your logical system with the physical cables of your electrical physical systems.

    When you select this option, only Cable is available in Types to analyze when you start the Logical to Physical Assistant.
