2D Graph F/L

The 2D Graph F/L options ets you customize 2D Graph F/L options for Functional & Logical Design.

This page discusses:

Grid

Display
Select this option to automatically display the grid when entering the Functional & Logical Design app.

By default, this check box is cleared.

Snap to point
Select this option to snap the 2D representation to the grid, when creating or moving it.
Tip: When this option is selected, you can temporary deactivate it by pressing Alt from your keyboard.

By default, this check box is selected.

Allow distortion
Select this option to enable a difference of value for horizontal primary spacing/graduation and vertical primary spacing/graduation.
This figure illustrates the difference between the vertical primary spacing (1) and the vertical graduation (2).

By default, this check box is cleared.

Allow Sketching Assistant
Select this option to activate the Sketching assistant.

Grid Customization

These options let you customize the display of the primary and the secondary grids: Color, line type and size.

Drag and Drop

Allow drag and drop from 2D graph

Select this option to drag and drop functions and logical components from the 2D graph display.

By default, this check box is cleared.

Cross-link Detection in 2D Graph

No Bridge / Gap Bridge / Arc Bridge / Square Bridge

Select a bridge type to create bridges on connections, every time a connection crosses another one.

Note that bridges appear only in the first level of the 2D graph, not in the sub-components:

By default, No Bridge is selected.

Steer around functions/logical components
Select this option before creating a connection to:
  • Avoid crossing connections
  • Avoid superposing objects and immersive elements
  • Minimize the number of segments

Note that this option is available for connections displayed in main view and diagram view.

Implement Links Management

List the Implement links that connect the selected object in another context
Select this option to display the Implement links that connect the selected object to other objects, in contexts different from the current one. These links are recognizable with the mask.

Note that this information is added to the following list, when clicking the Implement icon from the 2D graph:

  • Implement links in the current context of the selected object (parent path).
  • Implement links in the sub-context of the selected object (child path).
  • Implement links between the reference of the selected object and other references.

By default, this check box is cleared.

Behavior List Display Name Organization

Select Model Name, Behavior Representation Name or Mapping Name, then click the Right.

Select the Add Text > button to add text in tooltips. This can be done through the Text Edition dialog box.
