Annotation Set

Disable upgrade

Select this check box to turn off or turn on the upgrade for the standard when you select the same standard again for an annotation set.

By default, this check box is cleared.

Disable template creation
Select this check box to disable the template section of the action bar. Restart the session to take the change into account.

By default, this check box is selected.

Annotation

Disable lock editing property access

Select this check box to turn off or turn on the Lock Editing property access for texts and flag notes features.

By default, this check box is cleared.

Naming Uniqueness

Ensure uniqueness of view names
Select this check box to ensure the uniqueness of view names during creation or renaming.

By default, this check box is cleared.

Ensure uniqueness of capture names
Select this check box to check the uniqueness of capture names during creation or renaming.

By default, this check box is cleared.

Distinguish SBCS and DBCS characters
Select this check box to distinguish capture or view names in single byte character set (SBCS) and double byte character set (DBCS) formats during creation or renaming.

This check box is available for selection only when Ensure uniqueness of view names, Ensure uniqueness of capture names, or both are selected.

This means View.1 written in SBCS format is different from V i e w . 1 written in DBCS format.

By default, this check box is cleared.

Distinguish lower case and upper case
Select this check box to distinguish capture names or view names in lowercase and uppercase during creation or renaming.

This check box is available for selection only when Ensure uniqueness of view names, Ensure uniqueness of capture names, or both are selected.

This means View.1 is distinguished from view.1.

By default, this check box is cleared.

Style

Default behaviors of property toolbars

Click Configure... to define in Default behaviors of property toolbars dialog box behavior of most properties available in the Text Properties, Dimension Properties, Numerical Properties and Graphic Properties toolbars.

Use style values to create new objects

Select this check box if you want dialog boxes and the Tools Palette toolbars to be pre-filled with custom style values (as defined in the Standards Editor) when creating new annotations. In this case, the Tools Palette will be disabled during the creation of the annotation. If you leave this box unchecked, annotation dialog boxes and the Tools Palette will be pre-filled with the last entered values (except for Texts, Texts with leader, Balloons and Datum features). In this case, the Tools Palette will be active during the creation of the annotation.

If you select this check box, you will be able to reset the current style values in dialog boxes at any time using the Reset button unless it is disabled.

By default, this check box is cleared.

Display Reset button in dialog boxes

Select this check box to display the Reset button in dialog boxes. Clear this check box to hide the Reset button in dialog boxes and to disable the Reset functionality. This check box only concerns dialog boxes referring to annotations, dimensions, dress-up, 2D geometry.

By default, this check box is selected.

Assembly Context

Allow selection of element:

An element can be a geometrical element or an annotation.

In the active product only
Allows user to select an element in a representation belonging to the parent product of the active representation only.
In the favorite context only
Allows user to select an element in a representation belonging to the favorite context only.
Wherever possible
Allows user to select an element wherever possible.

By default, Wherever possible is selected.

Display a warning message for selection outside:
Active product
Displays a message when selecting outside the active product.

Not available with In the active product only option.

By default, this check box is cleared.

Favorite context
Displays a message when selecting outside the favorite context.

Available only with Wherever possible option.

By default, this check box is selected.

Create engineering connections in the first common father product of:
The selected assembly geometries
Generates the engineering connection in the first common parent product of the selected geometries.

By default, The selected assembly geometries is selected.

The selected assembly geometries and the created annotation
Generates the engineering connection in the first common parent product of the selected geometries and the annotation set.

Note: If the first common parent product of the selected geometries is locked or frozen, you need to choose The selected assembly geometries and the created annotation to create the engineering connection in the first common parent product of the selected geometries and the annotation set.

The created annotation
Generates all the engineering connections in the parent product of the annotation set.

Downward Compatibility

Assembly Annotations as result ARM Annotations
Exports the 3DEXPERIENCE assembly annotations to an ARM CATIA V5 part as result annotations using downward compatibility.

When this check box is clear, the 3DEXPERIENCE assembly annotations are exported to a regular CATIA V5 product as assembly result annotations using downward compatibility.

By default, this check box is cleared.
