Drawing Creation
- Standard
- Select the standard that is to be used when creating drawings.
By default, the
ISO standard is selected.
- Insert drawing in represented product or part
- Select this check box to define whether a newly created drawing must be inserted in its
product structure or not.
By default, this check box is selected.
- Make the drawing reusable
- Select this check box to make a new drawing reusable.
- This check box is available for selection only if the Insert drawing in
represented product or part check box is selected.
By default, this check box is selected.
Notes:
- The reused status symbol
is visualized in the drawing editor window.
- When this check box is selected, a drawing is reusable, by
default, if it is created by one of the following methods:
- In the top bar, select
> Drawing.
- From the Compass, click 3D Modeling

and select Drafting.
- From an existing 2D layout using the batch utility
method.
- If you right-click a product in the tree, and select , then a new drawing is not reusable, by default,
even if this check box is selected,

- Always check that the range of the drawing matches the represented product
- Select this check box to check whether the range saved as a preference and that is to be
used for creating a new drawing representation, is compatible with the
active product, 3D part, or 2D layout.
- A warning message appears if the drawing range does not match with the
active product, 3D part, or 2D layout.
By default, this check box is selected.
Standard Upward Compatibility
Click Configure to configure options in the
Standard Upward Compatibility dialog box. For more information, see Standard Upward Compatibility.
Dress-up Templates

to specify a template.

to remove the template.
