Approximate Mode

The Approximate Mode dialog box allows you to fine-tune the approximate view generation options according to your needs.

More precisely, you can specify the precision (that is, the level of detail - LOD) with respect to the performances (that is, generation time - Time). To access the dialog box, click Approximate view generation mode and then click Configure on the View tab.

Level of Detail

Specify the level of detail in the dedicated field, or move the pointer to specify the precision in the graphic area on the right.

The level of detail corresponds to the precision with which the app determines which edges are hidden and which are not. As a result, decreasing this precision may lead to smaller geometry being visible whenever it must not be, and vice versa. The higher the precision, the lower the performance. In any case, memory consumption is not impacted.

By default, the level of detail is specified to 4.
