Building Defaults

Stories Above Ground: Sets the default number of stories above the ground in a building.
Stories Below Ground: Sets the default number of stories below the ground in a building.
Story Height: Sets the default value for story height.
Slab Thickness: Sets the default value for slab thickness.
Slab Width: Sets the default value for slab width.

Exterior Wall Thickness: Sets the default value for external wall thickness.
Interior Wall Thickness: Sets the default value for internal wall thickness.
Shaft Wall Thickness: Sets the default value for shaft wall thickness.
Column Reservation Wall Thickness: Sets the default value for column reservation wall thickness.

Select the desired option:

Walls Outward: Creates the walls for the mass on the outside of the sketch.
Walls Inward: Creates the walls for the mass on the inside of the sketch.
Walls Both Ways: Creates the walls for the mass on both sides of the sketch. The sketch traces the middle of the created walls.

Minimum Riser Height: Sets the minimum riser height for both stairs and stairwells.
Maximum Riser Height: Sets the maximum riser height for stairs and stairwells.
Headroom: Sets the stair and stairwell overhead clearance, that is, the clear vertical height from the stair tread nosing to any overhead obstruction.
Circular Stair Headroom: Sets the circular stair overhead clearance, that is, the clear vertical height from any stair tread nosing in the circular stair to any overhead obstruction.
Path of Travel Offset: Sets the distance between the path of travel and the inner radius of the stair. The system measures the unit run along the path of travel for circular stairs.

Subfloor Thickness: Sets the thickness of the subfloor, which goes directly on the structural slab to insulate and smooth the surface.
Floor Thickness: Sets the thickness floor covering.

Share Attribute Extensions: When you select the Share Attribute Extensions check box, all building components of the same type of the same configuration share the IFC property sets attached to them. When you clear the check box, the building components continue to share the 3D representation, but each object of the same type carries its own property set values. For example, when you select the Share Attribute Extensions check box, all doors of the same configuration share the IFC values assigned to that door configuration. When you clear the check box, each door of the same configuration can have its own property set of values.
