The General options let you configure the interactive raytracing session.

Rendering

The following render engines are available:

Mode Description
Iray An interactive raytracing render mode uses faster but less accurate rendering algorithms than the Photoreal render mode.
Stellar A high quality, physically-based render engine designed by Dassault Systèmes that you can use during the design phase in another app than Live Rendering.

The selected engine is assigned the Ctrl + Alt + R shortcut.

Iray

The following options are available:

Option Description
Use Iray Interactive instead of Photoreal Lets you use the Photoreal rendering engine instead of IRT.
Streaming frame rate Helps you set the target in framing rate.

Miscellaneous

Allow image save on disk
Lets you export the interactive images.

By default, you can only save them in database for IP protection.

Force material display
If this option is activated, it means that when entering Live Rendering, materials that have been applied onto your model are automatically displayed.

Note: If you are using the V1 user interface for the shading commands, you do not need anymore to click Shading with Material from the View section of the action bar, or to select View > Customize View > Material.

By default, this option is selected.

Force simplified interface for material application
Activates the material selector that lets you directly select the level on which you want to apply the materials.

By default, this option is selected.
