Tree Manipulation

The Tree Manipulation options let you customize options for scrolling and expanding the tree.

This page discusses:

Scroll

Automatic scroll activation during drag and drop

If you select this option along with the Activate the Visualization of Show/No Show option, you can automatically scroll the tree when dragging icons or objects onto it. The tree is scrolled until you remove the mouse from the scroll area.

By default, this option is selected.

Display geometry during tree scrolling

Lets you see the geometry while scrolling the tree using the scroll bar displayed to the left.

Note: This option has no impact when scrolling the tree using the mouse scroll button because the geometry is displayed. In addition, when dragging icons with the Automatic scroll activation during Drag and Drop option selected, the geometry is displayed.

By default, this option is selected.

Automatic Expand

Automatic expand activation
Activates the automatic expansion of the tree up to the second level.

A message informs you that the automatic expand of the tree will be taken into account next time you open a document.

By default, this check box is cleared.

Zoom on Tree

Tree zoom after clicking on any branch
Lets you manipulate the tree on its own (zoom up and down, and so on). To do so, click any branch in the tree. The geometry is dimmed and only the tree is active.

When this option is not selected, the only way to manipulate the tree is to position your mouse over it, press Ctrl, and roll the mouse wheel.

By default, this option is selected.
