Constraints and Dimensions

The Constraints and Dimensions options let you customize constraint and dimension appearances according to their statuses.

This page discusses:

Constraint Style

Resolved constraint
Sets the color status for resolved constraints.

By default, the color is black .

Unresolved constraint
Sets the color status for unresolved constraints.

By default, the color is red .

Overstrained
Sets the color status for overstrained constraints.

By default, the color is purple .

Invalid geometry
Sets the color status for constraints set on invalid geometries.

By default, the color is orange .

Status Color Visualization
Sets if the default status color or the graphical user defined color is displayed on constraint.

By default, this option is cleared (default status color).

View Angle
Sets the angle from which the constraint is displayed in the geometry area, when you are rotating the geometry. This angle is measured between the normal to the screen and the constraint direction.

By default, the angle value is 1deg.

Constraint Display

Display Mode
Sets the display mode of constraint options.

Select the desired option:

Value
Displays the constraint value only.
Nam
Displays the constraint name only.
Name+Value
Displays constraint name and value only.
Name+Value+Formula
Displays constraint name and value or constraint name and formula.

By default, Value is selected.

Filter.../Less Filter
Click this button to show/hide the Constraint Filter options.
Constraint Filter
Filter
Select the desired option:
Hide all
Hides all the constraints.
Show all
Displays all the constraints.
Conditional Filter
Displays the constraints according to the Status Filter and Filter by Type selected options.

By default, Show all is selected.

Status Filter
Select the desired option:
Do not filter status
Displays the constraints without take into account their status (verified or not).
Filter unverified constraints
Displays unverified constraints only.
Filter verified constraints
Displays verified constraints only.

By default, Do not filter status is selected.

Dimension Style

Scale
Sets the size of the graphical symbols for constraint (tangency, parallelism, leader arrow) options:

The options in the Scale are as follows:

Small
Displays small symbols.
Medium
Displays medium symbols.
Large
Displays large symbols.

By default, Medium option is selected.

Displays iconified constraint elements
Sets whether the iconified constraint elements are displayed.

By default, this check box is selected.

Highlight constrained elements
Sets whether the constrained geometries are highlighted when you pre-select a constraint.

By default, this check box is selected.

Gap
Sets the distance between the constrained geometries and constraint extension lines.

By default, this check box is selected.

Overrun
Sets the distance between the constraint dimension lines and constraint extension lines.

By default, the value is 2mm.
