The Explore options let you customize explore-related settings for Product Finder.

User Interface

Activate Navigation Experience

Check the Activate Navigation Experience checkbox to switch to the new Product Finder navigation experience.

By default, this option is deactivated.

Tip: You must close all open Product Finder tabs and re-explore the objects to have the newly selected experience.

Expand root node on Explore

Automatically expand the root node

Depending on the size of your products and how your products are structured, you may or may not want the root node of your tree to be automatically expanded when it is opened.

Select the Automatically expand the root node check box to automatically expand the root node one level when you explore an object.

By default, this option is deactivated.

My Recent Content Computation

At open of the explore command

Select the At open of the explore command radio button to compute most-recently-used objects when you explore an object in a new tab.

By default, this option is deactivated.

At close of the explore command

Select the At close of the explore command radio button to compute most-recently-used objects when you close the tab of an explored object.

By default, this option is activated.

Never

Select the Never radio button to never compute nor display most-recently-used objects.

By default, this option is deactivated.

Explore with Filter

Apply Engineering Filter by default

Select Apply Engineering Filter by default to ensure that the de-activated instances are filtered out, each time an assembly is explored.

By default, this option is deactivated.

Explore Parents

Display 2D Thumbnails view

Select Display 2D Thumbnails view to have 2D thumbnails displayed when you use the Explore Parents command.

By default, this option is activated.

Display 2D Tiles view

Select Display 2D Tiles view to have 2D tiles displayed when you use the Explore Parents command.

By default, this option is activated.

Explore Widget

Choose widget in which content will be explored

Select the Choose widget in which content will be explored radio button to be able to choose the widget in which content will be explored.

By default, this option is activated.

Always explore in a new widget

Select the Always explore in a new widget radio button to always explore content in a new widget.

By default, this option is deactivated.

Always explore in the current widget

Select the Always explore in the current widget radio button to always explore content in the current widget.

By default, this option is deactivated.

Explore in Context

Remove siblings of content explored in context

Select the Remove siblings of content explored in context option to remove the siblings of the content explored in context.

By default, This option is activated.

Keep siblings of content explored in context

Select the Keep siblings of content explored in context option to keep the siblings of the content explored in context.

By default, This option is deactivated.

Expand siblings of content explored in context

Select the Expand siblings of content explored in context option to expand the siblings of the content explored in context.
