Robot Surface Simulation: Surface Simulation

The Surface Simulation options let you customize default naming, path colors and line types, and mesh sag and size for Robot Surface Simulation.

This page discusses:

Application Parameters

Application Type
Specifies the default application type. Supported types are:
  • Paint
  • Sealant
  • Blast
  • Polish
  • General

Process Path

A process path contains all process points and the lines that connect them. The following preferences allow you to specify the line color, line type, and line weight.

Approach Path

An approach path contains all approach points and the lines that connect them. The following preferences allow you to specify the line color, line type, and line weight.

Mesh Parameters

Mesh parameters are used in computing the mesh for paint deposition.

Mesh Sag
A lower value results in greater accuracy, but requires more time to generate the mesh.
Mesh Size
A lower value results in greater accuracy, but requires more time to generate the mesh.

Trajectory Parameters

Trajectory parameters are used in the creation of trajectory from selected curves.

Gap Tolerance on Curve Selection
If the gap selected between curves is less than the given value, curves will be automatically connected. If the gap between selected curves is greater than the given value, curves are considered disconnected and a via path is created between end and start points of adjacent curves.
