Rules (I)

Rule checking monitoring and Limiting action

When Rule checking monitoring is enabled, MTM rules are checked whenever you click Calculate or OK in an MTM time analysis. If the sequence of activities is implausible per the rules, a window opens notifying you of what needs improvement. Rule checking is applied to the rules selected below, for example, Final Check or Simultaneous Motion.

When enabling Limiting action,

By default, the check boxes used to specify MTM1 rules for rule checking monitoring and limiting action.

If any of the rules below are enabled, and Rule checking monitoring is also turned on, an error notification appears. This is when attempting time analysis on an operation that does not respect the enabled rule.

Final check

Final check, Analysis should end with Release of least one hand (A1) check box.

By default, the check box used to specify MTM1 rules for final confirmation.

Simultaneous motion

By default, the check boxes used to specify MTM1 rules for rule checking monitoring, limiting action, final confirm, and simultaneous motion select as shown.

  • Same values for Move/Static Component bimanual (B1).
  • Move bimanual must enter for both hands (B2).
  • G3 must not execute with other motions of the hand simultaneously (B3).
  • Process Time, Body Movements, and Eye Functions only allow in Right-hand Column (B4).
  • Static Component bimanual must enter for both hands (B5).

Consecutive motion

By default, the check boxes used to specify MTM1 rules for consecutive motion select as shown.

  • Move case C with Dynamic Component must not execute with Position Easy (C1).
  • Taking control over an object (Pinch Grasp) has to decontrol by Release RL1 (C2).
  • Taking control over an object (Contact Grasp) has to decontrol by Release RL2 (C3).
  • Static Component SC# (/2) has to follow by Move M-A/B/C#(/2) (C4).
  • Values * of Static Component SC* (/2) and values # of Move M-A/B/C(/2) have to be equal (C5).
  • Move M-A/B may not execute with Position (C6).
  • Audit sequence of Reach / Grasp (C7).
  • On two consecutive Side Steps, the first is always a Side Step case 2 (C11).
  • On two consecutive Body Turn, the first is always a Body turn case 2 (C12).
  • Audit sequence of movements of the hand (C13).
  • Static Component SC# is associated with Move with effort M-A/B/C# (C14).
  • Reach R-A - Grasp G1B --> confirm for correctness (C15).
