Tree
- Display a symbol to show the status
- If this option is selected, the following options are available. These
options enable to display a mask (symbol) over icons in the tree. For more
information, see 3DEXPERIENCE
Platform: Tree Masks.
- Lock or editability
- Displays the masks corresponding to the edition rights.
With
the editability mode, if the Control content
privileges option is selected and
-
The Forbid the edition of read-only content and temporarily lock the
read-write content option is selected:
the non-editable mask is displayed.
-
The Authorize the edition of read-only content with a warning
option is selected: the locked or unlocked masks are displayed.
Notes:
For the root product, the
editability information of the reference are
displayed. For children products, both the
instance and the reference editability information
is displayed.
- Representations:
- For aggregated representations, only the
representation reference information is displayed.
- For shared representations, both instance and
reference lock information are displayed.
- Locked status update:
- When you lock or unlock an object, the
editability status is automatically updated.
- When another user locks or unlocks an object,
the editability status is not automatically
updated. You must close then reopen the session to
see the updated locked mask. Nevertheless the
display is consistent with the information
retrieved when loading or refreshing time.
For more information about editability, see the Collaborative
Lifecycle
User's Guide.
By default, this check box is selected.
- No identity (on instance)
- Displays the mask if a product instance has no identity position related to its
parent reference.
Note:
For repositionable (or repositioned)
instances, this mask does not appear.
By default, this check box is selected.
- Flexibility
- Displays a mask for the flexibility and position status.
Mask |
Meaning |
|
There is no identity position.
|
|
The reference is flexible at instantiation.
|
|
The product instance is repositionable.
|
|
The position of the product instance can be
overloaded.
|
|
The position of the product instance has been
overloaded.
|
|
The position of the product instance is frozen.

By default, this check box is selected.
- Local update (on representation)
- Displays the mask for local update.
By default, this check box is cleared.
- Relation (on representation)
- Displays the mask for relations on representations.

The publication exposes another publication.
|
|
A publication has no associated object.
|
|
The relation owned by the publication is not
synchronized.
|
|
Appears when:
- The relation owned by the publication is
unresolved. For example, if the representation is
erased in database.
- An error has occurred while synchronizing the
publication's relation. For example, if the object
referred by the publication has been deleted
inside the representation (the link is broken).
|
By default, this check box is cleared.
- Contextual link
- For products or representations, a contextual reference keeps a contextual link with
one of its instances. This instance is called contextual
instance.
The reference (a product or representation) is
contextual if it has a contextual link with an assembly, in
which it is instantiated. This is the context link with only
one of these instances of the reference that defines this
assembly.
The instances can have three different statuses.
By default, this check box is selected.
Grouping node for tree
This option is applied on product types, product subtypes, product extensions.
On premises only: The capability to configure the grouping nodes relies on
security masks that are available on-premises only. For more information, see
Installation and Setup: Customize: 3DEXPERIENCE
PlatformSecurity Management: Security Mask Configuration. The grouping node
configuration is not available on the cloud.
- Enable tree grouping by criteria
- Groups objects with the same attribute under a specific node in the tree.
By default, this check box is cleared.
The grouping can be customized with maximum three criteria, defined in this
order:
- Group by
- Then by
- Finally by
Notes:
- To be candidate for grouping, the attributes must be integer,
string, enum.
- The attributes proposed for grouping are those related to the type,
the type extension and the type derivation.
- Attributes can have one or multiple values. If they have multiple
values:
- One grouping node is created per value
- The product appears under every relevant node.
Enable grouping or hiding by applicative types
Enables you to group or hide all objects of the same discipline or applicative types
in the tree.
Select the desired option:
- No
- Displays all the applicative types.
If no applicative type is selected,
the tree displays all the components of the
root product.
- Grouping Nodes
- Select this option, then select the convenient applicative types you want to
group.
When this option is selected, an additional group node is added in
the tree.

Note:
There is no hierarchy of grouping nodes.
- A grouping node is displayed under the parent node.
- To display a discipline group, at least one child must have this
discipline.
- Hiding Nodes
- This option enables you to hide one or more applicative types in the tree.
