Geometry

The Geometry options let you control display and snap functionality, and the visibility of constraints.

Select this tab to access Geometry options.

Show Boolean Dialog

Shows Boolean operation dialog options.

By default, This option is selected.

Show Constraints

Shows sketch constraints all the time.

By default, This option is not selected.

Hide Internal Constraints

Hides constraints internal to sketch objects such as the constraints used to create a slot.

By default, This option is selected.

Show Coordinates

Shows the cursor location coordinates all the time.

By default, This option is selected.

Grid Size

Sets the grid spacing.

By default, The value of this option is X.

Grid Snapping

Snaps geometries to the grid’s vertical and horizontal divisions.

By default, This option is not selected.

Geometry Snapping

Snaps vertices and other geometry to nearest geometry such as points on a reference curve or edges.

By default, This option is selected.

H/V Point Inferences

Snaps a geometry vertically or horizontally to a point.

By default, This option is selected.

H/V Line Snapping

Snaps a line vertically to a horizontal sketch line, and horizontally to a vertical line.

By default, This option is selected.

Parallel + Perpendicular

Creates a parallel and perpendicular entity to lines.

By default, This option is selected.

Tangent

Snaps to tangents on circles, arcs, fillets, parabolas, ellipses, partial ellipses, and splines.

By default, This option is selected.

Angle

Snaps to angles.

By default, This option is selected.

Midpoint

Snaps to midpoints of linear and circular geometries and model edges.

By default, This option is selected.

Model Geometry

Allows geometries to snap to edges.

By default, This option is selected.

Silhouette Edges

Creates silhouette edges on outer model edges.

By default, This option is selected.

Quadrant Snapping

Snaps geometries to quadrants.

By default, This option is selected.
