Normal Computation and Update

Store the closest surface
Lets you store the closest surface.

By default, this check box is selected.

Closest surface computation
Lets you automatically or manually compute the closest surface.

By default, the option is set to Automatic.

Automatic Stacking

Computation mode
Specifies if Automatic Stacking uses the Cylindrical or the Spherical mode of computation.

By default, the option is set to Cylindrical.

Parameter for fastener dimension in Spherical mode
Specifies the parameter to be used to define the radius value used by the Spherical mode of computation.

Diameter: Uses the diameter value of the fastener.

Length: Uses the length value of the fastener.

By default, this check box is selected.

Consider fastener components in fastener assistant results
Includes or excludes fastener components from the computation performed by Automatic Stacking .
Note: If selected, it does not necessarily mean that the fastener components will be part of the results.
Show Stacking Assistant Results in a Panel
During Creation: Allows modifying fastened parts during creation.
During Edition: Allows modifying fastened parts during mdification. By default, this check box is selected.

Fastener Connection

Allow modification of fastened parts during connection edition
If selected, it is possible to modify the fastened parts during the connection edition.

By default, this check box is selected.

Fastener Creation

Keep Associativity with selected geometry
Maintains associativity between the fastener instance and the geometry you select to locate fasteners. The option is available for the different location methods available (except the Explicit one). If cleared, the fasteners created with any location method are created with no associativity with the geometry.
Constrain the spot fastener's I axis
Ensures that the I axis of the spot fastener is constrained once positioned by using any of these location methods: On Curve Mode, On Surface Mode, Bitangent Mode, and Tritangent Mode.

By default, this check box is cleared.

Fastener Validation

On single click
Lets you validate the step that you are performing when creating or modifying fasteners by a single click in the work area.

By default, this check box is selected.

On double-click
Lets you validate the step that you are performing when creating or modifying fasteners by double-clicking in the work area.
Only on click in Timeline
Lets you validate the step that you are performing when creating or modifying fasteners by clicking in the timeline.

Fastening Additional Connection Button

Show Additional Connection button
Shows the Additional Connection button in the dialog box that lets you define various stackings for a given fastener.

By default, this check box is selected.

Fastener Thumbnail

Number of Lines for Thumbnail Text
Controls the text area of the thumbnails displayed in different dialog boxes by setting the number of lines available for the text.

By default, there are two lines.

Flexible Fastener Update

Update Flexible Fastener Using Update All
Updates the whole assembly using Update All . The command takes all types of fasteners and their positions into account.
Note: When you need to improve performance, clear the option.

By default, this check box is selected.
