Display Preferences

By default, this check box is selected.

Hide tree when entering environment
Hides the tree in the work area.

By default, this check box is selected.

Smart reframe on insert
Centers the inserted item in the work area. This is useful for documents containing complex assemblies with a large number of components.

By default, this check box is selected.

Display out-of-context elements in ghost effect
When working on 3D parts and products in the 3D design view, displays parts that are not in the active structure as transparent parts.

By default, this check box is selected.

Orient objects on tables
When working in the turntable view, optimizes the arrangement of objects on turntables by taking their shape and orientation into account.

By default, this check box is selected.

For specialized product types with no associated geometry (under Types in the New Content dialog box), a thumbnail (simplified representation) of the type is displayed.
Size linearization factor
When working in the turntable view, controls the appearance of objects of different sizes. When the slider is set to 0, objects appear in their original sizes; when the slider is set to 1, all objects on turntables have the same size.
Tip: Controlling object appearance is particularly useful when there is a big difference in size between the various objects on turntables. Setting the slider to 1 will, for example, significantly improve the results of a zoom-in or out and the ease with which you perform drag and drop operations.

By default, the slider is set to 0.

Show all tips and tricks
Re-initializes tips and tricks if you turned them off in your session by selecting the Don't show me this again check box.

Engineering Connection User Interface

When editing engineering connections, shows callouts and context toolbar commands in the work area. Callouts identify connected 3D parts to help you visualize the engineering connection.

By default, this check box is cleared.
