Surpac

The Surpac section enables you to customize options for importing files from Surpac using Converter for Surpac.

This page discusses:

Surpac Import

This option determines the type of data that is created when you import an SDM file that has surface data.

Tessellated surfaces as polylines
  • Selected: The import creates polyline data.
  • Cleared: The import creates surface (mesh) data. Default.

Whether this option is selected or cleared, if the SDM file has only string data, the import always creates polyline data under a cloud of points feature.

OMF Import

Specifies options for importing files using Converter for OMF.

Preferred Profile
  • For Coordination: Selected object* and all children underneath are imported in a CGR .

Should be used with Output Geometry set to Tessellated.

  • For Construction: Selected object* and direct children are imported as distinct geometric* features distributed across different 3D shapes.this option is sected.

Specify the value for Output Geometry as required.

  • For Design: Selected object* and children underneath are imported as geometric* features for each triangulation of each object in the source file in single a 3d shape .
Output Geometry
  • Tessellated: Imports the source geometry as tessellated.
  • Polyhedral: Imports the source geometry as a boundary representation also referred to as B-Rep. Selecting this option enables the healing options.
Healing
When the Polyhedral import fails, select Healing to apply an healing operation that can solve the import issue. Then, import the polyhedral geometry.
Healing surface mode: Selects the required surface type for the healing operation. Choose form the following:
  • Closed surface
  • Open surface
Polyhedral import fails, select Healing to apply a healing operation that can solve the import issue. Then, import the polyhedral geometry.

SurpacDTM Import
