Update search data

Creates a new index file to take into account any new content that might have been added to the preferences. This index file is used as a database when searching for preferences.

Click Update search data, and then choose between the following two options in the permission panel that opens:

  • Yes to close the panel and start index generation in C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\DassaultSystemes\CATSettings\MePrefSearchIndex<language>.txt.
    Important:
    • The file name differs depending on the language. For example in English, the file name is MePrefSearchIndexEnglish.txt.
    • If you remove the CATSettings folder or the MePrefSearchIndex<language>.txt file, you need to click Update search data again to regenerate the index file.
  • No to close the panel without generating the index. In that case, new page contents are not displayed in the search results.
