Reconstruction

The Reconstruction options let you customize reconstruction options for Photo to Shape.

This page discusses:

Exported Geometry

Defines how the geometry is exported:

  • Set of points: The provided geometry is a set of points.
  • Set of curves: The provided geometry is a set of 3D curves.
  • Set of surfaces: The provided geometry is a set of surfaces.

Create textures
Projects the initial images on the 3D surfaces.
Symmetry based completion
Adds symmetrical parts to the reconstructed 3D model.
Curves regularization
Modifies adjacent curves with angle lower than 15 degree to make them tangent.

Reconstruction Mode

Defines the reconstruction mode:

  • From canonic views: The model is reconstructed using the canonic views mode.
  • From a set of perspective views: The model is reconstructed using the multiple perspective views mode.
  • Ask for reconstruction mode: Displays a panel allowing you to choose between the two modes of reconstruction for each new reconstruction.

Camera Properties

Defines the camera properties:

  • 35mm default focal length: Lets you select the focal length for the reconstruction process if no information is extracted from the image.
  • Use image Exif data: Takes into account the information extracted from the image (exif data).
