Save Behavior

The Save Behavior options let you customize the weight verification while saving for Weight and Balance.

Force weight checking while saving

Select this check box if you want to verify the weight while propagating, and to forbid the propagation if weight values are not properly generated. This enables you to ensure the maturity of the weight synthesis in your assemblies.

In this case, the Check Weight command is made available in the Propagate dialog box. The OK button is disabled when the weight verification is not successful for all parts in the assembly. Click Check Weight to perform the verification. Once the weight verification is successful, you can propagate.

The table below summarizes the status of the weight verification, the possible reasons for success or failure, the result and corrective actions to take.

Status of the weight verification for a given element Reason Result / Action to take
Success

- either a declared weight is found

- or an accurate computed weight is found

A message appears, indicating that the weight verification is successful. The OK button becomes available, enabling you to propagate.
Failure

- either no weight value is found

- or an out-dated computed weight is found

A message appears, indicating that the weight verification has failed, and the element is highlighted in red in the specification tree. Click it to display a message providing more information about the weight issue, and take corrective steps.

By default, this check box is cleared.
