Textual Work Instruction
Select the required option:
- Show Reference Name
- When you select an operation on the Operation Sequencer, all the work instructions
associated with the operation list to the left of the work area.
The work instructions list by either their default name (for example,
Instruction.number) or by a name you have given them.
- Show Instruction Text
- If you select this option, the text of the work instruction itself appears in the
list. This enables you to see, at a glance, what work instructions you have defined
without having to come up with meaningful names for each work instruction. Even if you
selected Use Formatted Text in the Authoring
tab, the instruction text nonetheless appears in plain text.
By default, Show Reference Name is selected.
Operation Filmstrips
- Activate Views on Operation Selection
- If you select this option, when you click an operation in the filmstrip, the views activate.
By default, this check box is cleared.
Operation Sequence
This enhances the time based sorting algorithm to handle a case of multiple Operations with
the same end time.
- Operations sort and display as per their end time.
- If two or more Operations have the same end times, but different start times, then
these two/more Operations display as per their relative start times.
- If two or more Operations have the same end and start times, then these two/more
Operations display as per their relative tree order
- It uses the selected value to decide the order of operations in Generated
XML/HTML.
- Display sequence based on Time
- When you select this option, the filmstrip shows the operations based on a
time-ordered sequence.
- Display sequence based on Tree Order
- If you select this option, the filmstrip shows the operations based on the order items
appear in the tree. A generated document also has the operations displayed based on the
tree order.
Display sequence based on Time is selected.
Operation Thumbnails
- Display Thumbnails with Implemented Manufacturing Items
- When you select this option, the thumbnails used in both Work Instructions and 3DWorkbook show the item associated with the operation for which you create the work instruction. For example, if the operation requires the worker to insert a spark plug into an assembly, the thumbnail associated with the work instruction shows the spark plug.
- Display Thumbnails with Buildup
- If you select this option, the thumbnails show product buildup. For example, if an
operation requires the worker to insert a spark plug into an assembly, the assembly
appears in the thumbnail. This is along with the part buildup up to the point
corresponding to the operation.
Display Thumbnails with Implemented Manufacturing Items is selected.
