About Filtering

The following are considerations about filtering.

  • Before you define a filter, you must select a node and, from the View section of the action bar, click Set UI Active.
  • When a filter is applied on a structure, the root node will always be present in the result, whether or not it respects the filter criteria, and the root 3D Thumbnail could be replaced by the default 3D Thumbnail.
  • The tooltip indicates the filter name when you pass the mouse over the different nodes of the tree.
  • Documents cannot be filtered using the filtering options.
  • Volume filters combined with an attribute filter of which the criteria was defined with a "Not Like" operator are not working. The workaround is to define the attribute filter criteria with a "Like" operator.
  • The deactivated portion of a filter cannot be edited and it cannot be saved.
  • The filter type is determined by the Personal Management content category. The behavior of the filter is then induced by this content category.
