Copying a Bookmark

The project owner and any member with Project Lead access and DPM license can create a top-level bookmark by copying an existing top-level bookmark. All bookmark content, sub-bookmarks, and sub-bookmark content get copied to the new bookmark. Similarly, anyone with Add access for a bookmark and DPM license can create a sub-bookmark by copying an existing sub-bookmark in the bookmark. All sub-bookmarks and content are also copied.

Before you begin: View the list of bookmarks for a project. See Bookmarks Page.
  1. To copy a top-level bookmark, select the bookmark that you want to copy and click Clone Bookmark .

To copy a sub-bookmark, click the parent bookmark's Name from the Bookmarks page. Then click Sub-bookmarks from the bookmark's navigation pane. From the Sub-bookmarks page, select the sub-bookmark you want to copy and then click Clone/Copy from the Actions menu or page toolbar.

  2. From the Clone page, change the Name, Description, Default Access, Policy, and Access Type as required for the new bookmark. For information about these fields, see Creating or Cloning a Bookmark or Sub-bookmark.
  3. Click OK.

The new bookmark is created that contains all sub-bookmarks and content that the source bookmark has. The names and attributes for the sub-bookmarks and content are the same as those of the source bookmark, except for the state attribute. Make changes as required for the new bookmark structure.
