Creating a Contextual Scope for Reusing Systems and Operations

You can now add a "contextual" System-Item scope to specify which system instance will realize a particular item instance.

Before you begin: Open content comprising product, system, and manufacturing assembly structures and start Process Planning. In the following scenario, which illustrates contextual scope on the components of a skateboard:
  • The manufacturing assembly structure includes two assembly instances for the axis-wheel subassemblies (Front and Back).
  • The system structure includes two system instances for the axis-wheel subsystems (Front and Back).
  • Appropriate reference-reference scopes are already set up between the products, manufacturing assemblies and systems.
