Using the Applicative Search

You can use the applicative search to help you quickly locate content related to the app.

The applicative search capability appears in such cases as:

  • Inserting an existing object
  • Replacing an object occurrence by an existing one
  • Creating scopes from search
  • Managing alternates and origins

  1. Click a command from the action bar or a menu.
    If the command requires selecting content related to the app, then the Applicative Search is activated in the top bar and a small panel appears.



  2. Do one of the following:
    • Type your search criteria in the Applicative Search box, click , then select the desired objects from the search results.
    • Select an object in the tree or work area.
    • Select the Multiselection check box, select several objects in the tree or work area, then click Accept .
    The selected objects are taken into account in the command.
