Define a Part Position

You can change the position of a part during the simulation. In this step we will open the filter cover to see the filter, then close it.

  1. Right-click General System B and select Insert > General Operation.
  2. Enter an appropriate name for the General operation. For example, opening.
  3. In the same way, create another General operation for closing.
  4. To check if the General operations are placed after the filter and filter cover loading operations in the system, from the Authoring section of the action bar, click Workload Balancing .
  5. Right-click the opening operation and select Part Position > Define Part Position.
    A Robot appears next to the product.
  6. In the assembly tree, control-click the filter and the filter cover.
  7. Use the Robot to open the filter cover with the filter, then click OK .
  8. In the same way, define a part position on the second General operation to close the filter cover with the filter.
