Defining Correspondences Between Partial Curves

You can define correspondences between curves which are partially visible. The purpose is to construct or improve a 3D curve even if it is not fully visible on any image.

This task shows you how to:

Reconstruct a 3D Curve

You can reconstruct a 3D curve from several 2D partial views.

  1. From the Reconstruction section of the action bar, click Curve Matching .
  2. Select the two points which will be the 3D curve extremities.
  3. Select the curve.

    Note: If one or both extremities are already reconstructed in the 3D model, these points can only be the points selected in Step 2.

  4. Select the curve on another image.
  5. Review the curve orientation represented by arrows and click the arrows to change the orientation if necessary.
  6. Repeat the selection of the same curve and the orientation review on other images.
  7. Validate the Reference to match option.

    Note: You can also press Enter to validate.

Add a Partial Curve to an Existing One

You can improve a reconstructed curve with partial view on an image.

  1. From the Reconstruction section of the action bar, click Curve Matching .
  2. Select the curve to be modified.
  3. Select the curve on another image.
  4. Review the curve orientation represented by arrows and click the arrows to change the orientation if necessary.
  5. Repeat the selection of the same curve and the orientation review on other images.
  6. Validate the Reference to match option.
