Defining Planar Constraint

You can define planar constraints between a set of points, curves or surfaces from the 3D model. All the selected elements will be included in the same planes.

Before you begin: Reconstruct a 3D model from images.
  1. From the Reconstruction section of the section bar, click Planar Constraint .
  2. Click the elements to be defined in the same plane:
    • Points
    • Curves
    • Surfaces

Note: It is not possible to define more than three planar constraints on the same point.

  3. Click OK.
The planar constraint is created. The curves and points, displayed in white, are updated according to the constraint.
Note: During planar constraint definition, symmetry plane and geometrical constraints are always visible.
  4. Optional: To edit the constraint:
    1. Double-click the constraint.
    2. Click the elements to be added or removed from the planar constraint.
  5. To hide or display the constraint, click Display Constraints .
